Tequila Rudo is 100% Blue Agave tequila, handcrafted at the family-owned distillery located in Jalisco, Mexico. Rudo's branding concept is inspired by Lucha Libre - Mexican style of professional wrestling - and its rich cultural traditions, which constitute an important part of the Mexican heritage. Lucha Libre competitions are based on confrontation between two main characters: Rudo (who is a brawler and a rule-breaker) and Tecnico (a noble hero of the game, known for his elaborate wrestling techniques). Tequila Rudo pays homage to Rudo's character with its bold robust flavors. The graphic design of Rudo tequila was named among the 6 most beautiful tequila bottles by the Wine Enthusiast magazine.
Rudo is elaborated from 100% Weber Blue Agave cultivated in the volcanic, nutrient rich soil of the Los Altos Mountains by using traditional techniques going back several generations of tequileros. Mature agaves are first slow baked in stone ovens for 36 hours and then the juice from the first pressing only is allowed to slow and naturally ferment for 7 to 10 days.
Rudo is double distilled in small batches in copper pot stills. Rudo Reposado is aged for 4 months in American oak casks previously used in bourbon production and Anejo is aged for an impressive 18 months. The spirit of Lucha is carried through the whole package including the colorful wooden tops, featuring the design of a wrestling mask, and the embossed labels that show luchadores in different stages of a fight. Tequila Rudo is marketed in the original flask-shaped bottles available in 750 ml, 375 ml and 50 ml and in a variety of gift packs.

Despite its "bad boy" image, Rudo has conquered the hearts of industry experts and numerous fans and is a consistently high performer on the shelf. Barrel-aged for 4 months, Rudo Reposado was awarded 94 POINTS by The Tasting Panel Magazine and won "BEST OF THE BEST" award from Tequila.net tasting competition in 2012. Rudo Anejo, rested in oak for 18 months, won GOLD MEDAL from the Spirits of Mexico in 2013 and was awarded GOLD MEDAL at the 15th annual San Francisco World Spirits Competition in March of 2015.
